A person died Thursday evening from a fall off the five-story parking garage of the Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.
Richland police reviewed security video and determined the death was by suicide.
Family had not been reached Friday morning by the Benton County coroner and no name was released.
Officials were called to the parking garage about 6 p.m. Police did not say what level the person fell from.
Kadlec closed the Goethals Drive entrance to the hospital during the investigation and it reopened at 10 p.m.
“We are deeply saddened that a member of the community lost their life in a tragic incident on our main campus,” Kadlec said in a statement Friday morning. “We are offering support and resources to our caregivers impacted by this incident.”
