Sip and Style Co has collaborated with Hobart Airport to create a pop-up hair styling booth in the departures terminal.
The team which include award-winning stylist Ben O’Brien, are offering free walk-in hair styling on weekends from June 9, with other dates including June 11, 17th, 18th and 24th.
Sip and Style Co co-owner Ari Aherne said the service was open to jetsetters who were arriving and departing – and offered those attending Dark Mofo events the perfect way to freshen up their look for the night.
“Dark Mofo is the cornerstone period in winter and is so much fun and creative, and we thought it would be a good time to launch Great Hair Now Boarding,” Ms Aherne said.

“People can come and sit down and have their hair styled by a professional stylist, and they get to use the newest tools from Dyson and great hair products which are all provided; they can sit and relax and enjoy before boarding.”
Ms Aherne said the bright pink signage of Great Hair Now Boarding was a great contrast to the red and black signature colours of Dark Mofo.
“It is definitely contrasting to the dark signage but it is kinda a funky little contrast with the campy style of what we’ve tried to create here,” she said.
“Airports can be so busy but we’ve provided a moment of stillness and fun for people to relax.”
