Ohio Woman Refuses To Take Down Her 9-Foot Werewolf
Phil The Werewolf started out as a Halloween decoration for Mary Simmons
But when November and December rolled around all the Halloween decorations were taken down, Phil The Werewolf was still standing.
Why Is Phil The Werewolf Still Standing?
Mary Simmons told an Ohio news station that after putting Phil The Werewolf up for Halloween she decided to keep him up year-round.
Mary felt that Phil The Werewolf was a good burglar deterrent, she told WKEF
“I kind of look at it as a security thing, Who wants to break into a house with a 9-and-a-half-foot werewolf sitting outside it? I mean, I know I wouldn’t.”

Mary and Phil The Werewolf ran into an anonymous hater who sent in a complaint letter to the city of Piqua.
The city issued Mary a warning but said publicly that they have no plans to enforce the removal of the decoration.
Mary created a Facebook page for Phil The Werewolf and says she plans on dressing him up through the year in different outfits.
Piqua Ohio is now known for Mary Simmons and her 9-foot Werewolf named Phil
