Al Ahly’s manager Marcel koller denied his intention to rest some of the team’s players against Esperance de Tunis after their big victory in the first leg.
Al Ahly put one foot and a half in their fourth successive CAF champions League final after beating Esperance de Tunis 3-0 in the first leg at Rades Stadium.
The Swiss manager affirmed that Al Ahly will not be underestimating their Tunisian opponent in the second leg after this victory, and they will play the match as it was 0-0.
“We play tomorrow’s game against Esperance as the result is 0-0. We must play with that mentality,” Koller said in the pre-match conference.
“We won’t underestimate Esperance and I also saw the seriousness of the players during the training.
“Esperance is a strong team and succeeded in creating some chances in the first leg game and our levels are so close.”
Speaking on El-Shennawy injury: “We have a large list of players, and everyone is at a high level.
“However, El-Shennawy is an influential player, but we have someone to replace him, whether in tomorrow’s game or in other matches,” he added.
Al Ahly will face Esperance de Tunis again in the second leg tomorrow, Friday, 19th of May at the Cairo International Stadium.
