Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore made sure to capture attention as they led the arrivals at the May December screening in Cannes on Saturday.
The stunning actresses put on very glamorous displays as they joined the star-studded guest list at the premiere in celebration of the Cannes Film Festival.
Actress Natalie, 41, exuded elegance in an unusual blue and white maxi dress with petal detailing as she posed in front of cameras at the lavish event.
The strapless number sported white beads across the white top half, which emphasises her enviable collarbone and slender neck.
The dress – which shaded from a pristine white on her bust to smatterings on blue around the edges of the petal detailing – billowed out from the hips with pretty petal like layers adding even more glamour to the already show stopping piece.
Natalie stunned in the Christian Dior gown as it perfectly hugged her incredible figure – and accessorised the elegant ensemble with just a pair of diamond drop earrings.
She accentuated her striking features with a dewy make-up palette and appeared in jovial form at the star-studded bash as she smiled and waved to the crowd.
Natalie was joined at the event by actress Julianne Moore, 62, who showed off her chic style in an emerald, green Louis Vuitton dress with a high-neck and pleated cape-style sleeves.
Her signature red locks hung loosely over her shoulders and she styled the ensemble with just a simple pair of silver hoops.
Elsewhere Will Ferrell put on a cosy display with his Swedish wife Vivica Paulin as they appeared to be as loved-up as ever.
The comedy actor who met the actress in 1995 and has been married for 23 years put on a dapper display in a black suit and bowtie.
The May December movie is centered when a couple, whose romance was previously the source of tabloid fodder due to their age gap, welcome twins and are being faced with the prospect of having a film made about their lives.
When an actress from Hollywood visits the two to learn more about the wife, the family dynamic begins to unravel.
Natalie will portray the actress, Elizabeth Berry, while Moore and Melton are set to play the couple.
The V For Vendetta actress also acts as one of the film’s producers, alongside figures such as Will Ferrell.
Todd Haynes serves as the project’s director, and Samy Burch penned its screenplay.
The filmmaker gave a statement where he expressed via Deadline that he was particularly impressed by the movie’s screenplay.
He said: ‘What so appealed to me about Samy Burch’s exceptional script was how it navigated potentially volatile subject matter with a kind of observational patience that allowed the characters in the story to be explored with uncommon subtlety.’
