Former world No. 1 on the WTA Tour and four-time Grand Slam champion, Naomi Osaka, has recently shared some delightful news with her fans.
Osaka announced her pregnancy in January, shortly after her withdrawal from the 2023 Australian Open. Since then, she has maintained a relatively low profile on social media, keeping her personal posts to a minimum.
However, she could not keep the secret for long and finally shared the big news about the gender of her baby with her fans, leaving them elated and touched by the personal nature of the announcement.
The reveal came in a series of photos shared on her Instagram and Twitter, which appeared to be from a baby shower held in her honor. The photos featured a radiant Osaka standing in front of a festive display of pink and purple balloons, with a clear sign behind her announcing the baby’s gender: “A little princess is on the way”.
Osaka was resplendent in her white athleisure outfit, showing off her baby bump with grace and elegance. She wore an ivory Nike cropped jersey, white cargo pants, matching sneakers, and a cream-colored baseball hat, accessorized with a diamond tennis bracelet and a diamond-and-emerald necklace.
The venue was a picture-perfect garden adorned with pink flowers, mushroom and butterfly sculptures, and more pink and purple balloons, creating a dreamy, springtime ambiance. One particularly sweet photo captured Osaka’s long-term partner, rapper Cordae, tenderly holding and kissing her baby bump, signaling his excitement for the arrival of their baby girl.
Osaka had known the baby’s gender for some time but decided to keep it a secret, even from Cordae, until the reveal party. She shared during an interview that it was challenging to keep the secret, but the anticipation made the reveal party with their closest family and friends a few months ago much more exciting and fun.
