He was found unresponsive on March 21 and taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition.
He died two days later, the same day his mother was mentioned in court on two counts of attempted murder.
Charges have been upgraded to include murder after the 10-month-old’s death.
Subpoenaed material containing clinical notes from multiple hospitals and medical centres have been returned to the court, while other subpoenas, including some to internationally based organisations, did not produce any material.
“Police might want to communicate with whoever it is about their obligations,” Magistrate Michael Barko advised in the Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday.
The matter has been adjourned to June 15 while police prepare a brief of evidence against the woman.
