Emerald Communities hires Corporate Controller
Emerald Communities announced it has tapped Denisa Feddersen as its new corporate controller. As controller, Feddersen will oversee the financial management of both of Emerald’s communities, Emerald Heights and Heron’s Key.
Feddersen joins Emerald after serving as VP of finance and corporate controller at a California-based senior living community after spending time as a certified public accountant and tax professional.
The hiring of Feddersen – along with the recently announced promotion of Michelle Wood – means that the entire Emerald Communities leadership team is comprised of women.
ProMedica Announces CFO
ProMedica announced that Terry Metzger took over the reins as ProMedica’s chief financial officer on May 14.
Metzger joins ProMedica’s team with a dozen years in the health care insurance industry including most recently as chief operating officer with Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis where he also previously held the CFO position.
With business degrees from Regis University in Denver, Metzger cut his teeth in international finance with information technology and telecommunications company e-KONG group including time as the company’s CEO and CFO.
Epoch Senior Living Names VP of Wellness
Epoch Senior Living announced that Michael Toce will be its new vice president of wellness services where he will be responsible for managing and coordinating clinical outcomes in addition to shoring up policies and procedures.
Beyond those responsibilities, Toce will develop and implement education, training and peer reviews to ensure the quality of care and regulatory compliance of Epoch’s 16-community portfolio.
Toce – a registered nurse – previously served as the senior director of care for a portfolio of senior living communities in the Northeast and as an administrator for the Yale School of Medicine.
