More tickets have been released for an afternoon steam tour on the iconic Mayflower locomotive that will take passengers across the south coast. The tour, which will depart from Portsmouth and Southsea in Hampshire, will take passengers along the stunning Hampshire and Sussex coastline before returning later that day.
On the journey, passengers aboard the 61036 Mayflower locomotive will spot various stunning coastal destinations, including crossing Portsbridge Creek and Portsea Island, as well as sighting Chichester Harbour. The route, although primarily along the coast, will also take passengers further inland where they will pass over the rivers Hamble and Itchen on the journey.
As a result of popular demand, The Steam Dreams Rail. Co – operating this steam train journey – have released more tickets and seats. This has included an additional 42 first class carriage seats and an addition 42 premium standard carriage seats.

For people with a first class carriage seat, which costs £109 per person, they will be served a slice of Victoria sponge cake for the journey, as well as a glass of sparkling wine to enjoy while onboard the “beautifully restored vintage carriage”. They will also be able to enjoy the scenery from the luxury of cushioned armchair style seats.
For those with premium seats, these seats will be set in a “restored period carriage” where complimentary tea and coffee will be available, as well as some refreshments which can be purchased from the buffet bar. Guests who have these seats – which cost £69 per person – are also invited to bring their own picnics to enjoy onboard.
For those who really want to travel in style, the limited Pullman Style Dining tickets are still on sale for £159 per person. The train journey, which will depart at 1.45pm and return at 5.00pm, is bound to be a unique experience for all to enjoy.
