Once again Little Haven Palliative Care is hosting the Monster Book Sale, this time on next weekend, 10 and 11 June.
All proceeds of the book sale go to funding Little Haven’s community based palliative care service.
Little Haven is a not for profit charity, with a long history of providing cancer support and palliative care for patients in the Gympie community at no cost to the patient.
All money raised from Little Haven’s fundraising efforts and donations stay in the region and go directly into supporting the nursing care and services provided by Little Haven.
Thanks to a constant stream of generous book lovers donating their books to Little Haven over the past 12 months you can expect a huge collection of fantastic books from a wide range of genres at the highly anticipated event.
There will also be magazines, children’s books, jigsaw puzzles, CDs and DVDs as well as delicious jams, cakes and handmade crafts (keep an eye out for their very popular crochet handtowels).
Find yourself a few good reads and a beautiful cosy crochet rug to nestle under during these cooler months.
If pottering around the garden in the gentle winter sun is more your thing there’s also a massive array of healthy plants for sale and the sausages will be sizzling all day.
So come along and get yourself some ripping reads, all while helping a beloved local charitable organisation do their amazing work.
The sale is on Saturday, 10 June between 8am and 3.30pm and Sunday, 11 June between 9am and 2pm at the Senior Citizens Centre in Mellor Street, Gympie.
