Here comes the sun!
It looks like Ireland will finally experience some decent weather this summer with high temperatures forecast for later this week. The Emerald Isle’s hottest day of the year so far could be coming on Thursday.

According to Met Éireann, temperatures will reach the low 20s or even higher in the days ahead, with dry, sunny, and warm conditions coming our way.
The hottest day of the year so far has been 21.3C in Roscommon on April 16th. However, the forecaster says that on Thursday, May 25th, temperatures will climb “into the high teens or low 20s widely, possibly higher in prolonged sunshine further south.”

Tuesday
Tuesday will be largely dry with spells of hazy sunshine, the best of which is in the south and east. Cloudier in the west and north with the chance of the odd spot of coastal drizzle. Highest temperatures of 13 to 19 degrees, coolest along northern and Atlantic fringes with a moderate onshore breeze here. Elsewhere it will feel warm in any sunshine with just a light northwest breeze.

Dry and clear, apart from coastal showers in the northwest. Lows of 4 to 8 degrees Celsius in light northeasterly breezes.
Wednesday
Dry and mostly sunny, though cloudier skies across the northwest will produce some light rain or showers. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees Celsius, in just light northwest breezes with best values across the east and southeast.

Warm and sunny with temperatures climbing into the high teens or low 20s widely, possibly higher in prolonged sunshine further south. Winds will be mostly light northerly, though coastal breezes will set in at times.
Friday
Little change with warm and summer-like conditions continuing.
