Marks & Spencer shoppers have found a new favourite in the form of a versatile shirt that they say can be worn for almost any occasion, making it “great value for money”.
The high street favourite has impressed with its Printed Collared Long Sleeve Shirt, which is sure to add a pop of colour to your workwear wardrobe with a smart collared neck and long sleeves with buttoned cuffs. The shirt is available in a dozen different patterns, including polka dot, leopard print, striped, floral or abstract, seven of which have had their prices slashed in the recent M&S sale.
The reductions mean that shoppers can get their hands on the shirt from as little as £12, with only a select few sizes left for certain patterns, while others still have the full price tag of £25. The shirt is modelled on the M&S website either with black trousers and a blazer for a smart and stylish office look, or dressed down with a vest, cropped trousers and sandals.

The shirt has an impressive rating of 4.7 out of five stars overall based on nearly 200 reviews from M&S shoppers, with many awarding it full marks for quality, style and value for money. One person said: “Love the style and no need to iron – my type of effortless clothing.”
Another shopper wrote: “The material is great quality and has a silky feel to it. Got it in the sale, so a super buy and highly recommended.”
A third customer penned in their review: “Fits well and is flattering, feels smart but good for casual wear too. Good quality and does not crease.”
And someone else remarked: “This shirt is so well priced at £25 but feels and looks a lot more expensive. I really love it.”
Others loved the bold colours the shirt comes in, with one person writing: “Really bright cheerful fabric, wore it to a meeting and one of my colleagues said she was going out to buy one as she loved it.”
And finally, another satisfied shopper said: “These are just perfect blouses for everyday or dressing up. Some lovely striking prints and comfortable fabric that hangs well and washes well.”
However, any M&S fans with their eye on the shirt may want to try it on first, as a small portion of shoppers left negative reviews because they found an issue with the sizing. Two shoppers remarked that the shirt was “too small” across the bust, while someone else said that they found the sleeves too short.
The shirt isn’t the only addition to the M&S fashion department that has impressed shoppers lately. The retailer recently launched a new Per Una collection featuring bold colours and prints aplenty, with shoppers being particular fans of the summer dresses included in the range.
Customers also fell in love with a £25 colourful slogan sweatshirt earlier this month, which was raised as “beautiful” and “perfect for summer”. The jumper is available in six different styles: a pink and purple, yellow and green, or blue and pink blend, in dark navy with ‘Malibu California’ emblazoned across the front, in striped white and blue with ‘Bonjour’ in writing, or in lime with ‘Merci’ written on.
If you’re shopping on the M&S website, remember that you can currently get the retailer’s Summer Beauty Bag – containing skincare treats worth £155 – for just £25 when you spend £30 on clothing, homeware or beauty. The luxurious skincare collection contains 11 pampering products – seven of which are full size – from big brands including Clinique, Aveda, Pixi and This Works, in a bright pink mesh bag.
M&S isn’t the only high street favourite that has slashed prices on its summer clothing to get shoppers stocked up for the new season. Matalan shoppers were recently won over by a floral print dress on sale for just £18.40 after having its price reduced by 20% along with dozens of other eye-catching garments.
