Dallas school teacher Jac Farley didn’t expect to meet Mark Wahlberg.

Last week, Farley was waiting in the car when her husband, Bennett, stopped at Total Wine in North Dallas to pick up some items. When he returned to the car, he told his wife Wahlberg was in and that she should get an autograph. Wahlberg was in Dallas last week to promote Flecha Azul Tequila, a liquor brand he endorses.

Farley, a Wahlberg fan, rushed into the store to find him in the back, signing bottles and taking photos with customers.

Hoping for at least a selfie, Farley got more. Wahlberg asked to record a message for her class. As of Wednesday, the TikTok video was close to 1 million views.

“I just wanted a quick selfie,” she said. “When you meet celebrities, you don’t want to be annoying. But when I said that my kids are going to be pissed off when I tell them about this and they’ll never believe me, he said, “Come on, we’re going to make a video.”

Farley started the 18-second video alone in the frame, saying “Casual night with…” before panning to Wahlberg.

“I’m here with Mrs. Farley. Your favorite teacher. She got a little stress reliever,” Wahlberg said, holding up a bottle of Flecha Azul.

“My God,” said Farley, “don’t tell them.”

Wahlberg reworded his message: “Hi, I’m here with Mrs. Farley. She gets water and juice and Gatorade. God bless you. Hey, stay in school. Can’t wait to see you change the world. Let’s go.”

Farley did not reveal her school, but she said it is in Dallas.

Her students have been taking up the position throughout the week.

“They’ve been like, ‘I saw it and mom saw it,'” she said. “They were excited. It’s been a crazy week.”

More than 600 comments show that she has also caught the attention of Wahlberg fans.

“Love how you casually say OMG Mark don’t tell them. Like you’re BFFs. The best! 🤣❤️,” one commenter wrote.

Wahlberg is no stranger to North Texas. He enjoys staying at The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek when in the area and is a member of Dallas National, the exclusive golf club. He is also a business partner in Wahlburgers, a restaurant at The Star in Frisco.

Farley said she and her husband finished the evening watching Teda Wahlberg classic.

“My husband was wearing it when we got home and I said, ‘good choice,'” she said.
