Liverpool enjoyed a promising start to the transfer window after wrapping up a deal for Alexis Mac Allister.
Things have since quietened down from a recruitment point of view, though the Reds’ rivals are now starting to get deals in place.
Arsenal are continuing their pursuit of Declan Rice amid competition from Manchester City and look to have finalised a deal for Kai Havertz. It is also expected to be a busy summer for Chelsea, who face a major squad rebuild after a disastrous Premier League campaign.
We have rounded up the latest transfer rumours in relation to the Reds’ rivals, below.

Manchester United
Erik ten Hag’s side have seen a third bid for Mason Mount rejected. It’s understood their latest offer for the midfielder was worth £50million plus £5m in add-ons.
The Athletic state Chelsea have submitted a counter-proposal of £58m plus £7m in add-ons as the two clubs struggle to come to an agreement.
Liverpool were, of course, strongly linked with Mount not long ago but decided against submitting an official bid for the England international.
Manchester City
Manchester City are considering a late swoop for Napoli defender Kim Min-jae, who is seemingly Bayern Munich-bound.
The South Korean centre-back impressed last season en route to winning the Serie A title and recent reports have indicated Bayern are expected to win the race to secure his services.
But a latest update from Football Insider has suggested City are plotting a possible hijack and ‘could make a late move’.
Chelsea
Villarreal forward Nicolas Jackson is soon expected to have his medical with Chelsea after the two clubs agreed a transfer fee.
The Londoners have paid a fee in the region of £30million, according to the Daily Mail, and is set to complete the formalities of his transfer this weekend.
Jackson scored 13 times for Villarreal last season in all competitions during a breakthrough campaign at the Spanish club.
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham have added Liverpool target Micky van de Ven to their centre-back shortlist.
The Wolfsburg defender is a player of interest to the Reds, though Fabrizio Romano has made clear Spurs are also keen on the Dutchman. Talks are believed to have already taken place between Tottenham and Van de Ven’s representatives.
The north London side are also said to be ‘watching’ Juventus defender Gleison Bremer, according to the Telegraph.
It is stated the 26-year-old has been on the radar of the Lilywhites since the player’s days at former club Torino, a side he represented between 2018 and 2022.
The Brazilian centre-back has previously been linked with a move to Liverpool and the above report claims the defender has ‘other admirers’ from the Premier League aside from Spurs.
