About the opportunity
The University of Sydney Business School is a global leader in business and management education. The Business School’s Education Services team is seeking a Manager, Assessment Operations. You will work with key academic and professional staff to lead a broad, high-functioning team that operationalises areas of the assessment delivery cycle in the Business School, including exams, academic integrity, special arrangements, results processing, and appeals.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Focus on ensuring effective processes and compliance with policy and procedures;
- liaise with Faculty and other relevant central professional service units to ensure a collaborative approach to assessment delivery; and
- provide effective leadership and management guidance and support to the staff in the work area including feedback, coaching and support for individual performance, career and talent development, support the functioning of an effective and high performing team.
About you
- extensive relevant work experience related to the position, preferably in managing complex client services;
- exceptional ability to review and implement effective systems and processes to deliver time and mission-critical projects;
- demonstrate high level of communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build strong working relationships and engage with a broad range of stakeholders;
- proven ability to lead, manage and motivate staff ensuring that team members are developed to their full potential within a client service environment; and
- ability to manage and respond to risks, and ensure compliance in complex environments with tact, discretion, and sound judgement.
