Here is your daily Liverpool transfer digest for Saturday, May 13.
Red Devils chase long-term Reds target
Manchester United are in “advanced talks” with Napoli defender Kim Min-jae, according to reports in Italy. Liverpool are one of several Premier League clubs linked with the South Korean international.
Signed last summer for around £15million, the 26-year-old has emerged as one of Europe’s elite defenders. Min-jae has played an integral role in Napoli lifting their first Serie A title in over 30 years.

A reported £45million release clause has European heavyweights purring, with the centre-back an area Erik ten Hag would like to improve upon. Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are his current first-choice options but captain Harry Maguire is rumoured to be nearing an exit this summer.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are focused on bolstering their midfield. Min-jae would be considered a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk but the transfer priorities appear to lie elsewhere.
Liverpool consider goalkeeper to challenge Allison
Football Insider claim Liverpool are considering an approach for Hannover goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler. Anfield chiefs have reportedly contacted the player’s representatives about a potential summer move.
At 34, Zieler would unlikely be a long-term option for Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp is keen to sign an experienced goalkeeper capable of challenging Alisson for the number one spot. Since arriving on Merseyside, the Brazilian has been the Reds’ undisputed choice between the sticks.
The report also suggests Adrian will be allowed to leave on a free transfer after making just 26 appearances in four years. The Spaniard – who deputised for Alisson briefly in 2019-20 – is linked with a return to his native country.
Zieler emerged from Man United’s youth academy but failed to make a single appearance before moving to Hannover 96. The lure of returning to the Premier League could hold the key for Liverpool getting their man.
