A biker has died in a crash in Cornwall. Police have confirmed the tragedy near Looe involved no other vehicles.
The A387 Polperro Road near Portlooe was closed after the crash at about 11am and was not reopened until about 7pm. Devon and Cornwall Police have now confirmed that the rider was on a Honda CBR 1000 motorcycle.
Ambulance paramedics were at the scene. The closure was extended and then shortened as the police investigated the cause of the crash.

The police said: “At 10:59 hours on Saturday 10 th June 2023, Police were notified of a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the A387 Polperro Road, Looe.
“The collision involved a Honda CBR 1000 motorcycle. The male rider sadly died at the scene.
“Local officers as well as officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team attended the scene and a full investigation took place. Once a forensic investigation had been conducted the road was re-opened.
“Police thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene. Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time and who may have dash camera footage, to telephone 101 quoting Log 323 of 10th June 2023.”
