“100 per cent it’s the biggest win of my career,” she said post-win.
Robinson dropped out of the World Surf League’s Championship Tour this year and has been recovering from a concussion injury.
“Not making the cut gave me the opportunity to work on some of my weaknesses,” she said after Saturday’s win.
“All of that time out of the competition jersey allowed me to get a step ahead in my own surfing, so bringing that to competition feels special.”
“I forfeited my year on the Challenger Series last year to work on my health…it’s worked out well.”
The weekend’s win now sits Ms Robinson at the top of the 2023 Challenger Series, and she thanked her support crew for helping achieve victory.
“Going to take a few days to soak in this win and then reset for the next one,” she said.
Robinson’s next event is the the Sydney Surf Pro from May 17-24.
