There are currently nine miles of queueing traffic on M1 Southbound near Rotherham.
A broken down van on M1 Southbound is causing over 30-minute delays and long queues of traffic from J35 A629 Cowley Hill (Rotherham / Chapeltown) to J34 A631 Tinsley Viaduct (Meadowhall).
South Yorkshire Police had closed one lane while the broken down van was removed from the motorway, however this has since been reopened. There is currently queuing traffic for nine miles with congestion to J37 A628 (Barnsley).
