Several events are planned to celebrate Independence Day 2023. CBS 58 compiled a list for you to see what’s happening in your area.
BROOKFIELD
Independence Day activities will be held Tuesday, July 4
Parade steps off at 10 a.m.
Calhoun Road will close at approximately 9:30 a.m.
The parade will continue until all units have completed the route. In a typical year this ends at 11:30 AM-12:00 Noon.

Flag Raising Ceremony – The Flag Raising Ceremony will take place on the Civic Plaza immediately following the parade.
Family Fest – Family Fest is in full swing at Mitchell Park from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. This annual pre-fireworks event features family-oriented activities and a variety of food, and entertainment. Come on out to the park earlier and find parking, have a picnic, enjoy the activities and entertainment, and stay for the fireworks extravaganza. THERE IS NO RAIN DATE FOR FAMILY FEST.
Fireworks will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 – Rain date is Wednesday, July 5. The fireworks begin at approximately 9:17 p.m.Â
CEDARBURG
Parade at 10 a.m. followed by a day-long picnic in Cedar Creek Park with food, beverages served by the Cedarburg Lions Club

DELAFIELD
Fireworks to take place on July 1 (rain date July 2) at dusk over Nagawicka Lake. Visitors can view the fireworks from St. John’s Park on N. Genesee St in downtown Delafield (across from the post office) or from Naga-Waukee County Park located on Highway 83.
Parade to be held July 4, at 10 a.m. Route will begin in the parking lot behind City HAll and end at the Delafield Legion for activities following the conclusion of the parade

Parade 9 a.m. – The parade will leave from the Hoyt Pool parking lot at 9:00 am, with lineup beginning at 7:30 am. The parade will then proceed north on Swan (92nd Street) to North Avenue, then turn right on North Avenue, ending near 80th Street.
Fireworks 9:15 p.m. – The viewing location for fireworks is Hart Park, along 65th Street and River Parkway, with the launch site being 63rd Street and River Parkway.

Parade route starts at 77th and Greenfield, continues east on Greenfield towards 70th St, and then south onto 70th St. to Orchard Ave.
Fireworks will take place at State Fair Park. Enjoy the amazing sounds of Failure to Launch at 8:30 p.m., followed by fireworks. Concessions available and parking open as early as 7 p.m. at $10.
