Leasing has officially launched for the second residential building at The Parker, the boutique offering of luxury rental residences and street-level retail space that has elevated a stretch of Park Avenue in Downtown Rutherford, NJ just two blocks from borough’s train station.
Mayor Frank Nunziato and fellow municipal officials joined Vango Development on Thursday, June 8th for a ceremonial ribbon cutting to officially grand open the collection of 60 stylish apartments and contemporary amenities located at 118 Park Avenue. Well-appointed studios, one- and two-bedroom homes currently begin from $2,370, with immediate occupancy available.
“The completion of The Parker is an excellent addition to our Downtown,” said Mayor Nunziato. “I’d like to thank everyone who worked on this project to make it a great fit for Rutherford and look forward to the future as its residents become patrons of our local businesses.”
The Parker 118 joins its sister property at 106 Park Avenue which debuted in 2019 with 52 residences and 5,000 square feet of retail space that houses Steven’s Café and Song’E Napule, the popular pizzeria and trattoria that made history last month as the first Rutherford business to obtain a liquor license since the late 1800s. The new building bolster’s the vibrant streetscape with an additional 3,000 square feet of retail space that will include The Salad House and a high-end salon, enriching the conveniences and services for both residents of The Parker and the broader community.
“We thank Mayor Nunziato for joining us today to celebrate the opening of The Parker 118 and appreciate the continued confidence of Rutherford’s municipal administration in our efforts to enhance the downtown and contribute to the residential landscape,” said Van Golemis, the principal of Vango Development. “Rutherford has become a highly desired living destination, blending a friendly small-town environment with the energy of a downtown setting and convenient access to Manhattan. The success of the initial phase of The Parker showcases its appeal, and we are delighted to expand the overall lifestyle with new apartments and amenities.

Rutherford station is also a bus stop for the NJ Transit #190 bus, which whisks passengers to the Port Authority in about 30 minutes.
In addition to its excellent mass-transit accessibility, Rutherford offers motorists easy access to Route 3 and Route 17, which connects the community to the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, and the Lincoln Tunnel. The borough is home to several parks, including Memorial Park, which offers baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, shuffleboard, children’s playgrounds, a lighted stadium with a track and football/soccer field, and a waterfront walking trail that ambles along the Passaic River.
