Large brush fire approaches homes near Lynn Woods
Firefighters were battling a bush and forest fire inside a portion of the Lynn Woods on Friday. Video from Sky 5 showed the flames coming close to homes and a neighborhood adjacent to the woods. The city of Lynn said the fire is currently bordering Emerald Drive, Cherry Tree Lane, Peach Tree Lane and South Ridge Circle. “While the fire is near residential properties, there is no immediate threat at this time,” the city of Lynn wrote on social media. “No evacuation orders have been given and are not expected.”The city asked people to stay away from the area due to the multiple hose lines throughout the streets, which have made them congested.”Unless you see flames near your property, please do not call 911 reporting odors of smoke as it has blanked the area,” the city said.
