A Lara teenager has been arrested after allegedly evading police and crashing a stolen vehicle in Corio.
Geelong highway patrol officers said they first spotted the silver Mazda on the Princes Hwy about 8pm.
Police tried to intercept the car on Purnell Rd in Corio but it allegedly sped off.
Officers said they then circled back to the Princes Hwy and found the allegedly stolen vehicle had collided with a white ute at the Bacchus Marsh Rd intersection.
Police said the male driver of the allegedly stolen Mazda, a 15-year-old from Lara, fled on foot but was arrested a short time later.
He was taken to hospital under police guard with minor injuries.

The passenger, a 21-year-old woman from Norlane, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries and has spoken to police.
The driver and two passengers of the white ute were not injured in the crash.
Investigations into the incident remain ongoing and the Mazda was towed away for forensic examination, however police believe the vehicle was stolen from Highton on Monday.
