AFTER beginning their Hometown tour in Mount Gambier last year, Melbourne rock band Kingswood is set to return to the city this weekend in the tour’s second phase.
The tour began back in November 2022, when Kingswood performed at the Stone and Dust Festival, and the band is now on the tail end as it wraps up in early July.
The four-piece band is in South Australia to perform not only to an Adelaide crowd, but at regional venues too, including at Mount Gambier, Victor Harbor, Aldinga and Port Lincoln.
The Western Tavern will be hosting Kingswood at 8.30pm this Saturday, June 10, before the band heads to other regional towns.
“We are dedicated to creating the greatest tour this country has seen, bringing the Kingswood experience to a Hometown near you,” the band said.
Before performing at Stone and Dust, lead singer Fergus Linacre told The Border Watch he was excited to bring the show to regional audiences.
“People are struggling to travel into cities to see big shows and when bands only go into big cities then some people do miss out,” he said.
“We have always been a band which tours a lot and we thought why not get out there and see as many people as we can.”
