A young Prince Harry excitedly embraces nature with his dad Charles and brother Prince William in a nostalgic Royal family snapshot from the past. This tender photo from decades past was tweeted today from the Royal household to mark Father’s Day in the UK.
Coming from the official Royal Family account it shows all the hallmarks of possibly being an ‘olive branch’ to Prince Harry from King Charles. The dad and son relationship is still believed to be recovering after Harry released his no-holds-barred biography, Spare.
A simple message issued in the tweet said: “To Dads everywhere, we wish you a very special Father’s Day today.”
Alongside the words are three photos, as shown below. Charles is shown in a kilt while out walking with Prince Harry and Prince William when they were children.

It accompanies another sentimental nostalgic photo of the King laughing with his father, Prince Phillip. The pair look relaxed with Charles beaming at the former Duke of Edinburgh during a day out.
A third photo is of Queen Camilla with her own dad, the decorated war hero Major Bruce Shand, who died in 2006.
It comes after King Charles was reportedly ‘disappointed’ that Harry skipped the Coronation lunch to return to America in time for his son Archie’s fourth birthday.
Prince William also issued a Father’s Day photo with a subtle nod to the late Queen. He is shown in a bear hug with his three children, Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte at Windsor.
He is sitting on a bench placed at Windsor to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday in 2016.
