When he’s not angering Marvel fans online, director Martin Scorsese is still working on films at the age of 80. His next movie, Killers of the Flower Moon starring Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio, is set to come out this October, and we have our first teaser.
Check out the teaser for Killers of the Flower Moon here:
The synopsis of the movie reads:
Based on David Grann’s broadly lauded best-selling book, Killers of the Flower Moon is set in 1920s Oklahoma and depicts the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation, a string of brutal crimes that came to be known as the Reign of Terror.
With Scorsese’s last movie The Irishman considered to be unbearably long with a 3 and a half hour runtime, Killers of the Flower Moon is also said to be nearly the same length at 3 and 26 minutes. We don’t know how long an audience would be willing to sit through that in a movie theater, but when it comes to streaming, maybe they might just be the right platform to enjoy the film.
Besides DiCaprio and De Niro, the film also stars Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, and Cara Jade Myers. You’ll also notice that Brendan Fraser is in the film, and though he does play a portly man, he’s not as massive as he was in Aronofsky’s The Whale.
Watch out for Killers of the Flower Moon when it comes to cinemas on Oct. 6.
