Portsmouth City Council has selected Natalie Brahma-Pearl as its new chief executive, with the recommendation of the appointment sub-committee expected to be confirmed at full council on 20 June.
Ms Brahma-Pearl is currently chief executive at Crawley BC and was previously director of community services at Horsham DC.
She will replace current chief David Williams, who is retiring from full-time work after a 40-year local government career and 16 years at Portsmouth City Council.
Norfolk CC has appointed Tom McCabe as chief executive.
The council reinstated the role after scrapping the position in 2018 in favour of a head of paid service and director model.
Mr McCabe, who was previously head of paid service and executive director of community and environmental services, started his new role on 12 June.
Sharon Muldoon will step down as strategic director of children’s services at Plymouth City Council on 1 September for personal reasons.
Before joining the council, a year ago Ms Muldoon worked as a transformation lead for Dorset CC and was deputy director of children’s services at Northamptonshire CC between 2012-21.
The council will recruit an interim director of children’s services, whilst a permanent replacement is advertised.
Halton BC has appointed Wesley Rourke as its new executive director, environment and regeneration.
He will join the council’s leadership team with overall responsibility for environmental and regeneration services.
Mr Rourke has a wealth of local government experience having worked for Halton BC for 20 years, the last 13 of which were in the role of operational director, economy, enterprise and property.
Windsor and Maidenhead RBC is set to appoint Elizabeth Griffiths as executive director of resources, she will succeed Adele Taylor who left the council in March of this year.
She is due to join the council later this summer, subject to confirmation of her appointment at an extraordinary meeting of full council on 27 June.
Andrew Vallance, the council’s head of finance will continue to fulfil the statutory role of chief finance officer on an interim basis until Ms Griffiths takes up her new role.
Donna Hall will join Mutual Ventures as a non-executive director.
She will advise the board on the strategic direction of the organisation, challenge and support executive directors and the leadership team and act as a mentor to the wider team.
Ms Hall is the current chair of New Local and adult social care provider PossAbilities. Before taking up those roles she was the chief executive of Wigan MBC and the chair of Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.
