Jai White is someone who has a lot of memories related to the great rapper, also known 2Pac. He mentioned how the world often mistakes the character of Tupac. According to him, there was a soft and childish side of the rapper that the world never got to witness. The actor detailed what went wrong in the rapper’s life. Shakur was someone who raised his voice against inequality through his art. His life came to a tragic end in a drive-by shooting in Nevada on September 7, 1996.
Now, Jai White reveals the difference that emerged in his character after he portrayed the role of Bishop in the 1992 movie ‘Juice.’ The ‘Tyson’ actor compared what happened to 2Pac with Al Pacino’s ‘Scarface.’ While talking about Shakur, Jai White got nostalgic about the days they spent together when Shakur was an innocent 17-year-old boy.

In a thirteen days old interview, Michael Jai White detailed the changes in Shakur’s nature. He revealed how Shakur and he used to play pool together. “I always speak the way I speak now and so he [Tupac Shakur] felt very comfortable being that other side around me that really playful you know, clowney kind of like silly type of guy who knows all the ‘Schoolhouse Rock’ jangles and then would split into a different mode around.”

Later he went on to talk about how the Bishop’s role influenced his friend, “It’s kind of like once he did that Bishop role that became a much more interesting character for him to play and I always say it’s like if Al Pacino played ‘Scarface’ and then chose to stay as a Cuban dr*g lord right to impress Cuban gangsters.”

He further added, “Well, he could stay in that character if he wanted. What I mean Al could have done that completely but when you’re a young kid that impressionable and you get all of these accolades for being that character, even gangsters you know, look up to you… That’s a fantasy for a young kid like that.”

Here Jai White mentioned how Al Pacino chose to come out of his character, Tony Montana, after he was done with the film, ‘Scarface’. However, as an innocent 17-year-old, Shakur failed terribly to come out of the character of Bishop. In the interview, Jai White also mentioned the “dichotomy“ he observed in Shakur’s character. After acting in ‘Juice’, the character of Bishop influenced him so much that he got trapped in it.
