When most people look back on the relationship between Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, there is one thing that comes to mind first, for an understandable reason. After all, when the world learned that Woods had cheated on Nordegren with many women, it was a pretty shocking revelation.
After Woods’ habitual infidelity became known, one of his alleged mistresses became famous. On top of that, Nordegren was once brutally honest about being betrayed by her husband.
While it’s perfectly valid for everyone to focus on the explosive way Woods and Nordegren’s marriage ended, there is a bright side to the story. Some examples of that are that since the divorce, Tiger and Elin have found new partners and Nordgren has earned a lot of money.
Of all the positives that came from Nordegren and Woods’ marriage, the former couple’s two children together take the top spot. With that in mind, some observers have wondered about Woods and Nordegren’s relationship with their son Charlie.

As anyone who has been part of a family affected by divorce will be able to attest, that situation can be very challenging. But that certainly does not mean that divorced parents cannot maintain a healthy relationship with their children.
Of course, no one can tell what goes on in the homes of celebrities behind closed doors. That said, luckily for Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren’s children, both seem to be devoted parents to their two children.
It is also important to note that Nordegren and Woods seem to welcome each other’s new partners as well.
In December 2020, an incident took place that indicated the nature of Nordgren and Wood’s relationship with their son Charlie and the family dynamic.
Just like his legendary father, Charlie has become a world-class golfer at a very young age. As a result, Charle and Tiger qualified to play in the 2020 PNC Championship.
Given the fact that Woods attended that event, it was not surprising that Tiger’s girlfriend, with whom he also works, Erica Herman, was in attendance. On top of that, since Charlie was also playing in the tournament, it makes sense that Nordegren was also in attendance.
Unfortunately, however, many divorced couples can show up at the same events as each other with their new partner and then avoid each other or worse, get into fights.
When Woods, Herman and Nordegren were at the 2020 PNC Championship together, many observers noted how well the three seemed to get along. In addition to Herman and Nordegren spending hours at the same event as each other, the two women spent much of their time that day with Elin’s daughter Sam.
To Woods’ credit, when interviewed at the PNC Championship, he noted that he didn’t care about his own golf game that day. Instead, his only concern was making sure Charlie had fun. Given how competitive Wood’s reputation is, that statement speaks volumes.
As wonderful as it was to see Woods, Nordegren and Herman get along when times were good, what really matters is what happens when things go wrong. Based on what happened after Woods got into a terrible accident, their kids can rest easy with their parents making things work anyway.
With Woods seriously injured at the time, it would have been difficult to maintain a consistent presence in the children’s lives since they do not live with him full-time. But according to insiders, Nordegren ensured that the children’s relationship with their father remained strong at the time.
“He sees the kids a lot. Maybe not every day, but almost every day. A lot of that is because of Elin, who is just amazing. She’s been incredible since the crash. She’s bent over backwards to make sure he can watch the children while he recovers from his injuries.”

If someone wants to be a good parent, the first thing they need to do is prioritize their children’s needs. At this point, it should be clear that Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren prioritize their relationship with both of their children.
Although Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods may spend time together to improve their children, that doesn’t necessarily mean they get along. But based on what Woods told Stephen Colbert in 2016, he and Nordegren are more than co-parents, they’re friends.
“She’s been one of my best friends and I’ve talked to her about so many different things and she does the same with me. We go back and forth. We communicate so much better now, it’s amazing. I wish we had done it sooner, but it’s been amazing to have such a best friend.”
