Berserker – kitchen fire
Paramedics transported one patient in stable condition with smoke inhalation to Rockhampton Hospital following a small kitchen fire on Nobbs Street at 6.22pm Tuesday.
Berserker – single-vehicle rollover
A female patient in her 20s was transported to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition after a single-vehicle rollover on Dean Street at 1.12am Thursday.
Drink drivers caught
Police caught 16 drink drivers and nine people driving with drugs in their system across the Capricornia district in the week until May 30.
High range drink drivers detected last week included a motorist with a 0.201 blood alcohol limit on East Lane, Rockhampton City and another with 0.156 blood alcohol limit on Dawson Highway, Gladstone.
High range speeds detected included a 17 year-old high school student who was late for school going 144kmh in a 100kmh zone on the Capricorn Highway.
Police also conducted 4255 RBTs along with charging at least 69 people with speeding.
Five people were caught using their mobile phones while driving and three were caught without wearing a seatbelt.
There were eight crashes that resulted in injuries.
Park Avenue – two-vehicle crash
One patient with an arm injury was transported to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition after a two-vehicle crash on the corner of Crane Avenue and Richardson Road at 10.26pm Thursday.

Who’s ready to meet their Emergency Service Superheroes at AG-Grow 2023?
AG-Grow is a yearly Agricultural Field Day showcasing all things agriculture.
The event will be held on Thursday, June 22 until Saturday, June 24, at the AG-Grow grounds approximately 10kms east of Emerald.
This is the first year where you will see all of the emergency services together in one place, plus they will be conducting demonstrations.
Some of these demonstrations include the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services cutting open a car, the ambulance service wrapping a snake bite, as well as performing CPR.
You will also get the chance to meet emergency service personnel and ask them about their role within the community.
Queensland Police Service Pipes and Drums will also be performing over the three action packed days.

New board chair of Cancer Council QLD
CCQ has announced that Robert Gregg has been appointed the new Chair of the CCQ Board.
Following the retirement of Dr Anita Green who completed her three-year term as Chair on 30 May 2023.
Mr. Gregg commenced with CCQ in 2016 as a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
His commercial experience includes over 35 years in investment banking, private equity and funds management sectors in Australia, Asia and South Africa.
A new 2023-27 strategic plan titled “Navigating Cancer Together”, focusing on research, prevention and support has been implemented.
With services seeking to assist all Queenslanders by reducing cancer risk, increasing early detection and improving the quality of life for those impacted by cancer.
