Atomic Heart is a challenging game set in the open world of a dystopian Soviet Union. Players have to fight off pesky robots and complete a variety of tasks to advance in the game. The game features many quests and puzzles that keep gamers involved for hours, and the Darwin test is one of them.
During the “Made in the USSR” mission, players will need to interact with Tereshkova, a nonviolent robot, to help them activate the drill mode inside the museum. However, Tereshkova will question the player’s humanity and present them with the Darwin test, which players must pass to convince her of their humanity. Solving this test involves quite a few steps and can leave beginners scratching their heads. Here’s how to solve the Darwin test in Atomic Heart.
How to Pass the Darwin Test in Atomic Heart
The Darwin test is all about locating and collecting the items the robot asks for. These items collectively represent the symbols of a Soviet Union citizen: art, labor, and life.
There are three main objectives of this test:
- Find the Voice of the Motherland
- Find the Symbol of the Motherland
- Find the Sprout of the Motherland.
Voice of the Motherland
The symbol for art is in the form of a radio lying under the registration desk. Locate the radio by following the sound of Russian music, or use the scanner to find the desired item.
Symbol of the Motherland
Players will find a golden statue in a room located to the right of Tereshkova’s desk. The hammer in the outstretched hand of this statue is the symbol of labor. Use the telekinesis to grab the hammer, and that completes the second objective of the test.
Sprout of the Motherland
Finding and collecting the Sprout of the Motherland is the third and final objective of the Darwin test. The sprout represents the life of a Soviet citizen.
After exiting the statue room, look for the room with the carbon dioxide charts on the walls to get the sprout. Upon locating it, players will find out that it is covered with a metal case that cannot be broken. Therefore, players will have to find the weighing scale on the left side of the room and stand on it. As a result, the glass will lift up, exposing the sprout, which players can grab using their gloves.
With all the required items in hand, head back to the robot receptionist and remind her of the test. Turn in all three items by placing them on her desk to finish the test, and she’ll be happy to help players and obey their orders in the future.
Atomic Heart is available now for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
