Despite his infamous exit, ex-NFL star Antonio Brown still manages to make headlines amongst NFL fans. He had the potential to become an NFL star, had his life not been so controversially ridden. Post his NFL career, AB has ventured into other career options. And his most recent venture was the acquisition of the National Arena League Team, the Albany Empire. But his ownership debut has not been a successful one either. Accusations piled up against him for allegedly not paying players and staff members their salaries. This was followed by the suspension of eight players and the head coach. AB then recently announced his intention of suiting up once again to play football. Before the ex-NFL star took over as the owner of the franchise, the Albany Empire was the back-to-back champion in the NAL. But with all the instability and inconsistency in the team following AB’s acquisition, the negative effect is seeping into their performance on the field as well. The team lost their Saturday matchup to the Jacksonville Sharks, being humiliated with a scoreline of 79-14. After the match, Antonio Brown took to Twitter to make a series of tweets, as his frustration over the loss was visible.
In one of the tweets that followed, he said, “I’ll be sure to give you all something better next week.” From the tweet, it looks like AB is consoling the Empire fanbase on the humiliating loss they suffered at the hands of the Sharks. But could it also point towards the comeback of AB as a pass catcher like he previously announced? Prior to this, he posted another tweet that hinted at the possibility of things changing on the team, starting from the coaches to the players. That tweet stated, “New coach new trainer new players Who wanna win?????”

AB to make a football comeback?
In an effort to boost ticket sales to generate more revenue, AB stated that he will put on his jersey once again to play for his franchise in the coming weeks. Fans will definitely buy tickets to the home game of the Albany Empire to watch the Super Bowl LV champion back in action on the field. Prior to this, AB had promised to play if the MVP arena sold out, But now it seems like fans will get to see him in action irrespectively in the coming days ahead, most probably “in their next home game on 27th” according to sports commentator Rodger Wyland.
