Parts of Cornwall are set to sizzle this week as soaring temperatures are set to be higher than Istanbul. According to the Met Office, parts of the county will see warm weather with temperatures reaching 27C in parts of the South West tomorrow (June 13).
A detailed weather map shows that temperatures could reach 25C in Launceston tomorrow, and 22C in both St Austell and Falmouth. On Wednesday (June 14), soaring temperatures could hit 24C in Launceston, 23C in Bodmin and 22C in Truro.
While temperatures in Istanbul are set to reach a maximum of 21C and 22C on Tuesday and Wednesday. It comes after the Met Office put the South West on amber alert for heat.

The amber alert, came into effect from 9am on Friday, indicating high temperatures which could affect the whole population and impact the health service.

Tonight:
Low cloud and patchy fog across coasts and also developing inland overnight. Still feeling mild and rather muggy. Light winds. Minimum temperature 15 °C.
Tuesday:
A murky start for many with low cloud lingering around coasts. Elsewhere, cloud breaking and lifting through the morning, leaving a warm day with the risk of heavy afternoon showers. Maximum temperature 27 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
As high pressure builds, many will see lots of warm weather, with plenty of sunshine and a very low risk of the odd shower. Staying humid, perhaps feeling uncomfortable overnight.
