Barrington 5, East Greenwich 4
Quinn Murphy went 3-for-3, drove in a run and scored twice as Barrington upset top-seeded East Greenwich in what was a losers’ bracket game for the Eagles. Murphy’s seventh-inning double drove in the what proved to be the winning run. Eli Terrell was 2-for-3 with a sacrifice fly while Grant Culton was 2-for-3 with on RBI. Harrison Cooley earned the win with six innings of one-hit, one-run ball and seven strikeouts. These two teams will meet again at Barrington on Friday with the winner advancing to the state finals at Rhode Island College.
Division III
Exeter/West Greenwich 2, West Warwick 1
Aiden Powers fired a complete-game one-hitter (and infield single), allowing no earned runs while compiling 7 strikeouts as EWG defeated West Warwick in the Division III winners bracket. The Wizards’ starter, Logan Dane, who allowed only two runs and also struck out seven, was the tough-luck loser. With the game tied at 1-1 in the sixth inning Kole Kilduff led off with a double and one out later Nic Lopes singled him home for what would be the winning run. Both teams will meet again in the Loser’s bracket final TBA.
SOFTBALL
Division II
Ponaganset 3, Mt. Hope 2
Jillian Baris doubled home CC Orlando in the bottom of the sixth inning and the Chieftains advanced to the Division II winners bracket final by slipping past the Huskies. Ponaganset will face either East Greenwich or Westerly for a place in the championship round. Reilly Amaral allowed just three hits and struck out 10 for Mt. Hope.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Division I
La Salle 3, No. Smithfield/Mount St. Charles 0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-22)
The Rams saw monster efforts from Ali Abdur-Razzak (27 assists, 14 digs, 4 kills, and 2 blocks), Ephraim Abhulime (6 kills and 4 blocks) and JackJohnson (16 kills, 6 digs, 3 blocks, and 2 aces) as they handled NS/MSC in the semifinal. Next stop La Salle is a match with Chariho in the D-I finals on Saturday at noon at RIC.
Division II
Lincoln 3, Barrington 2 (25-22, 23-25, 20-25, 25-16, 17-15)
Austin Noel amassed 54 assists, Will Denio recorded 23 kills and 14 digs and Tyler Dickinson had 14 blocks and 6 digs as Lincoln upended Barrington in what was a very competitive D-II semifinal match. For The Eagles, Maddox Godwin posted 17 kills and 8 digs and Max Oberacker recorded six kills, 2 aces and 8 blocks to end their season on a high note. The Lions move on to the D-II finals on Friday at RIC vs. Cranston West beginning at 5 p.m.
Division III
Johnston 3, Woonsocket 0 (25-14, 25-16, 26-24)
Josh Philbrick and Yondel Gonzalez recorded 12 kills apiece as the top-seeded Panthers defeated the No. 4 seed Villa Novans in the D-III semifinal. Woonsocket’s G’Ovani Collazo and Devin Merrill ended their season with strong performances. Collazo had 10 kills and 5 digs and Merrill also had 10 kills. Johnston moves on to the championship game vs. the Pawtucket co-op at RIC on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Pawtucket 3, Juanita Sanchez 1 (25-18, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23)
Pawtucket is heading to the Div. III final thanks to the play of several players. Leading the way were Domenic Carpentieri (2 kills, 41 assists, 3 digs); Dembo Konte (6 kills, 4 blocks), Helmer Ramos (11 kills, 1 block, 14 digs) and Julio Correira (7 kills, 2 blocks, 2 digs). Pawtucket will face top-seed Johnston in the final at 2 p.m.
