Nathan Herne is back in action in the US TA2 this weekend, with the Lismore Bullet set to take on Lime Rock Park in a defining round for the young star.
After a long early season break the American TA2 series returns for Round 4 in Lakeville, Connecticut.
Herne and the Stevens-Miller Racing team have been busy in the sheds to iron out some early season issues in the #29 Cube3 Mustang, hoping to capitalise on the clear pace advantage they’ve enjoyed this year.
Check out AUTO ACTION’s feature interview with Nathan Herne prior to his return trip to the states, with the TA2 gun featuring on the front cover alongside our exclusive interview with Brodie Kostecki.

It hasn’t been all smooth sailing for the new Mustang so far despite the car’s pace advantage, with a few things having gone wrong from both Herne’s perspective and the team’s side of things, with a bit of bad luck also thrown into the mix.
“We’ve put lots of work into the CUBE 3 Racing car during the break, so now we just have to rock up, put our best foot forward, and hope that my avoidance of walking under ladders has finally paid off,” Herne said of the upcoming round.
Despite the fixable shortcomings, Herne remains very much in contention after a strong P2 at NOLA, sitting 15th on the table on the 48 TA2 ladder, with 36 entries set to hit Connecticut, with nine rounds still to come this season.
The team will be hoping things click this round, as once they get it together on race day, whilst also nailing qualifying, they’ll be very hard to stop.
Also taking on Lime Rock is another Aussie in Matthew Brabham, who sits second on the TA table, just 5 points off his Gym Weed Racing teammate Chris Dyson.
Brabham had his worst ever TA series finish at Road Atlanta with a P9, the first time he’d featured outside the top two.
