Heritage and People’s Choice, the recently merged Australian financial institution, has announced the appointment of Penny Iverach as Head of Technology Integration. With over 20 years of experience in technology leadership, digital transformation, and information security, Iverach will develop and lead the new organization’s technology integration roadmap.
Iverach previously worked at Newcastle Greater Mutual Group, where she led the Greater Bank digital transformation program. Her appointment emphasizes the newly merged bank’s commitment to providing a seamless banking experience for its members and staff.
“With Heritage Bank and People’s Choice officially merging on 1 March, one of the most important challenges we face now is bringing together the organisations’ technology systems to provide a first-class banking experience for our members and our people. We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Penny to our senior leadership team. As well as significant delivery experience, Penny brings incredible enthusiasm, a passion for complex delivery and a strong member mindset”, says Andy Weir, Heritage and People’s Choice CIO.
Expressing her excitement at joining Australia’s largest mutual bank, Iverach says, “I consider myself to be very fortunate to be appointed to the role of Head of Technology Integration for these iconic brands and to be part of the next evolution of Heritage and People’s Choice as we continue to build and deliver exceptional products and services to our member community.”
Iverach officially joined Heritage and People’s Choice on Monday, 8 May, and will continue to be based in Newcastle, with regular travel to both Adelaide and Toowoomba.
