HEATHCOTE on Show will once again bring wine tasting, gourmet food and music to more than twenty-five venues across the region during the upcoming King’s Birthday long weekend.
There will also be the chance to pick your own olives and have them processed into oil, as well as the opportunity to sample locally distilled gin, brandy, and vodka.
Heathcote Tourism and Development president Peter Young said there’s plenty on offer for both locals and visitors to the region.
“There’s lots to do in the town itself,” he said. “There are lots of venues that will be open and there will be pop-up wineries in the RSL Hall.”
Mr Young said the shuttle bus had been upgraded for 2023 and it would run across four separate routes, as well as an express service to and from Bendigo.
“I think there’s now a big focus on making it easy for people to get around without having to drive and negotiate parking,” he said.
“We can now get more people onto the shuttle bus and we’re reducing some of the travel times between locations. It’s going to be like before, but better.”
Mr Young said organisers wanted to improve the visitor experience across the board.
“There’s a completely new website,” he said. “People can take either the whole program, or sections of the program, and print it and take it with them in hard copy.”
