Mt Barker midfielder Daniel Patching has climbed to the top of the Great Southern Football League coaches’ votes after polling a perfect 10 at McLean Park last week.
Patching was brilliant in the Bulls thumping win over Denmark-Walpole, kicking four goals out of the midfield.
His performance was recognised with both coaches giving him five votes each, shooting him to the outright lead after three rounds with 18.
Albany ball winner Isaac Baum also picked up a perfect 10 votes, as his Sharks got the better of North Albany on Sunday.
Baum sits in second spot, two votes behind Patching, while his Sharks teammate Brett Peake is third with 15.
The votes were spread in Railways big win over Royals on Saturday but Joel Want continued his impressive season and sits fourth on 13.
Mitch Green, Dylan Schorer and Nick Barrow are the only other players in double figures after the first three rounds of the new season.
Each league coach votes 5-4-3-2-1 from players on both side’s at the end of every game.
