Grand opening planned for Saturday

LAKEVIEW — Griffith Market is a specialty food store carrying artisan cheeses cut to order, wine, craft beer and a unique selection of specialty foods. Owned by husband and wife team Allan and Emily, Griffith Market was created with the motive of bringing their favorite foods closer to home to share with their favorite people.

The doors opened on May 23 for a soft opening after a full remodel of the former village office building. The market’s hours will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturdays and a grand opening is planned for Saturday, June 3, with a ribbon cutting at 10:45 a.m. and a wine tasting from noon to 2 p.m. that day.
Fresh daily, the market will offer grab and go lunchboxes with an assortment of cheese, crackers, cured meat, dried fruit, crackers and something sweet too. The Griffiths hope to build on those options as they grow. Also offered will be pre-order cheese and charcuterie platters for your next party or holiday celebration.
