The LA City Section announced the All-City teams for the 2023 softball season this week, including the Player and Coach of the Year for each division.
In the Open Division, Carson junior Riannah Maulupe was named the Player of the Year after leading the Colts to the Open Division title, beating Granada Hills 12-11 in eight innings. Carson coach Rudy Aguirre was named Coach of the Year.

In Division I, Chavez sophomore Jessica Ramos was named the Player of the Year after providing the walk-off hit for the Eagles to beat rival San Fernando in the Division I final 7-6. Chavez’ Stephanie Boshae was named Coach of the Year.

In Division II, Verdugo Hills senior Nylah Beba was named the Player of the Year for helping the Dons beat Cleveland 6-4 in the City final. Verdugo Hills’ Darren Fitzgerald was named the Coach of the Year.
