Frank Pileggi, 85, of Horsham passed away unexpectedly in his home on June 10, 2023. He was born in Maida, Province Catanzaro, Italy, on August 18, 1937, to the late Frank and Maria (Ceniviva) Pileggi. In 1955 after attending school in Italy, he traveled to America in search for more opportunities, and found a place where he could bring his future family. He traveled back to Italy to marry his beautiful wife, Angela “Lela” (Reale) Pileggi, in 1958, then brought her to America where they could start their new life together.
Frank was the owner and operator of Frank Pileggi and Sons Landscaping until his eventual retirement in which the business was passed down to his family. In addition to his business, he also was an avid real estate investor owning several properties within Montgomery County. He was a passionate gardener, and longtime devoted member of the Sons of Italy LRB in Ambler. He was a devout Catholic and member of Saint Catherine of Siena Church in Horsham. He cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren, which meant everything to him.
In addition to his wife Angela, he is survived by his four children: Frank Pileggi, Jr. (Sandy), Maria Pileggi (George), Carlo Pileggi (Angela), Carmelo Pileggi (Lisa), and his four grandchildren: Stephen Pileggi, Frank Pileggi (Rhiannon), Michael Pileggi (Danielle Mallozzi), and Daniella Pileggi.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA 19044. The Viewing will be Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 6-8 PM and Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 9-10 AM at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, PA. Entombment will be following immediately after the Mass at Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory can be made to Saint Catherine of Siena Church at the above address.
