Championship side Coventry City have confirmed that Nottingham Forest academy graduate Tyler Walker will leave the club on a free transfer at the end of his contract next month.
The striker, the son of former defender Des Walker, came up through the youth ranks at the City Ground before breaking into the first team. He played a total of 45 times for the Reds, scoring seven goals and providing two assists.
Walker did however spend a lot of time on loan away from the club. He joined Burton Albion, Stevenage, Port Vale, Bolton Wanderers, Mansfield Town and Lincoln City on temporary deals between the years of 2016 and 2020.

The now 26-year-old left the City Ground on a permanent deal in 2020, signing for Coventry. He was the club’s top scorer in his maiden campaign, but found regular football harder to come by in the first half of the 2021/22 season, leading to him joining Portsmouth on loan for the final six months of the campaign.
Walker returned to Coventry for the season just gone, but was mainly reduced to appearances off the bench. He scored one goal in 18 Championship appearances over the season.
Coventry have now confirmed that the striker’s contract won’t be renewed in the summer, meaning that he will be available to sign for any club on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June.
The Sky Blues have also confirmed that Forest loanee Jonathan Panzo will return to the City Ground this summer. The centre-back joined the Championship side on a temporary deal last summer, and helped the team reach the play-off final, where they lost out on penalties to Luton Town.
The 22-year-old made a total of 32 appearances throughout the season, including coming on as a late substitute in the play-off final at Wembley Stadium.
