It’s official—Canberra is keeping it cool this winter.
Because while the temperature might be dropping outside, things are heating up around town with plenty of fun winter-ful events that promise to keep you warm. Picture yourself spending the cooler months feasting on truffles, sipping on mulled wine, playing in the snow, and shopping at a European-style Christmas market…that’s right. Winter in the City
Snow is forecast in the city centre this winter with the return of the fun-filled Winter in the City. From ice skating to live entertainment, food, drinks, activities, and more (including an eight-meter tobogganing slide), it’s the perfect way to level up your winter experience. Raclette Igloo Experience
Ahem—if you hadn’t heard the news, the Raclette Igloo Experience is returning to the Parliamentary Triangle. And honestly, why hibernate this winter when you could spend it in a private igloo, feasting on Raclette cheese, sipping on mulled wine, and enjoying your very own fire pit with marshmallows? It promises to be the perfect cosy (and cheese-y) experience for a cold night.

The Forage

It’s not winter in Canberra until you get the chance to taste some edible black gold—and the good news is that the Contentious Character Annual Truffle Gala is back and better than ever. Expect all things truffle (which a few surprises thrown in) in this chef-customised four-course dinner with matched wines.
