With the sun beginning to come out of hibernation, the festival season is awakening. So, what can Norfolk offer us this summer to fuel our festival needs?
We’re very blessed to have a huge range of events taking place in 2023. From food and drink festivals to a variety of music festivals, there’s a lot to choose from.

Foodies Festival
Norwich’s Earlham Park will be hosting the return of the Foodies festival, between September 8 and 10. The festival, which has begun to be known as ‘Gastro- Glastonbury’, will showcase the best of Norfolk’s cuisine, with a mix of TV cooking shows and interactive live theatres, creating a celebration of local produce, along with live music, too, from award winning boyband, Blue and a 90s favourite, Toploader.
Some of the celebrated chefs appearing this year include- Irini Tzortzoglou, MasterChef champion, Daniel Smith from the Michelin recommended Ingham Swan and Alex Webb, the champion of MasterChef: The Professionals.
A new edition to the festival this year will be their ‘Cocktails, cabaret and cake’, which will take place on the Friday, featuring an ABBA tribute band, local performers and cabaret sessions, as well as the ability to taste and create some unique cocktails!

Morley Festival
One of the top 10 in the East Anglian Festival Network Norfolk Festival of the Year Awards, the Morley Beer, Music and Family festival is coming back to Wymondham between June 23 and 24.
The weekend is a celebration of joy, with performances from acts such as The Lee Valley Band, Counterfeit Brits and The Lovin’ Handful and family activities taking place, such as storytellers, circus skill workshops and science shows. As well as this, the festival celebrates the produce of Norfolk- with over 30 award winning ales and ciders featuring in their Real Ale and Cider bar.
All profits from the festival go to local charities in Norfolk. Those under 14 have free admission and tickets can be found at www.morleyfestivalnorfolk.co.uk.
Maui Waui Festival
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Maui Waui Festival will be arriving in Norfolk for the first time at Hill Farm in Dereham between August 25 and 27.
With over 100 bands across their 6 stages, from acts such as The Sribes, Slamboree and Krafty Kuts and circus shows, the festival is a celebration of international music, with their ‘Americana Day’ also occurring on the Sunday.
Make sure to keep an eye out for a special Maui Waui balloon! You could win a free full weekend ticket if you find one of 100 which have been hidden across the UK and pop it, to honour their 10th anniversary.

Folk in a Field Festival
Do you want to get away from it all? The award-winning Folk in a Field festival, situated in Bradmoor Woods, is taking place between June 30 and July 2. It offers the perfect escape from reality, as you connect with nature and involve yourself in the folk, acoustic and roots music scene.
This family friendly festival (which welcomes dogs too) never stays quiet- from folk performances across their four stages, treasure trails and circus workshops for children and free singing, ukulele and harmonica workshops, there really is something for everyone!

Blakeney Folk and Beer Festival
Blakeney Harbour room will be hosting the Folk and Beer festival this year, which is free for all, between July 7 and 9.
The weekend features a range of local acts, including the headliners this year of Honey and the Bear, Leap of Hares and The Old Wild Rovers, as well as a main hall concert taking place on both the Friday and Saturday evenings.
