First look at Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey in Wicked movie

The Wicked movies are currently filming in Buckinghamshire, and plenty of photos have been coming out showing the star-studded cast in costume and the impressive recreation of Munchkinland.

The latest picture from the set shows Bridgerton actor Jonathan Bailey playing the handsome love interest character Fiyero, opposite Ariana Grande as Glinda the eventual Good Witch.

We see him dressed in a green costume adorned with yellow and gold details, and carrying a highly-decorated sword.

Considering Fiyero serves as a guard in the Emerald City during the story, we wouldn’t be surprised if this was his uniform.

As well as Bailey and Grande, the film also includes Jurassic Park and Thor: Ragnarok‘s Jeff Goldblum, West End legend Cynthia Erivo, Saturday Night Live‘s Bowen Yang, and Everything Everywhere All at Once‘s Michelle Yeoh.

Kristin Chenoweth, who famously played Glinda on Broadway, has been rumoured to be making a cameo in the film, but stated that she “cannot confirm or deny” if she is involved.

“I really… I really cannot,” she said last month. “I’m waiting and we’ll see.”

Chenoweth did say she was incredibly excited to see the big-screen version of the show, saying: “I’m going to get to watch two women I know soar, and Ariana Grande is going to step so beautifully into my shoes.

“I’m so excited for her, she’s gonna put her own stamp on it.”

Wicked will be released in two parts, with the first film set to release on November 27, 2024 and the second one pencilled in for release in December 2025.
