The talented barman and mixologist was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2021 and was undergoing treatment including the fitting of a stoma bag until April this year, when he received the “all clear.”
After his most recent scan, Merlin confirmed some good news which he revealed in a post on Instagram earlier today.

The 48-year-old posted a screenshot of a message that reads: “Hi Merlin, Hope you are well.
“Your CT scan has just come through.
“All looks good, there are no signs of any reoccurrence.
“Hope this is reassuring.”
In his own caption that accompanied the picture, Merlin thanked the NHS and wrote: “Final Year 1 scan results are in, and it’s ALL CLEAR for now.

Some fans along with his celebrity friends commented underneath with messages of support and well wishes.
TV chef and ITV presenter James Martin said: “Brilliant news fella just brilliant see you at the house and stay for a glass or 4.”
Merlin replied: “Thank you James. You’ve been a big part of my positivity the last few years mate,” along with a wine glass emoji.
Someone who has been in the same position as the Channel 4 legend, said: “Amazing news! I had my 2 year scan results at the weekend! Like you, all clear! Always such a relief! #scanxiety is real!”
Another message says: “Amazing news for you and your family!!! sending love keep it up xx.”
One fan wrote: “Smashed that cancer to smithereens. Nice job!” along with a love heart emoji.
