A charity auction took place where the right to receive the first customer delivery of the DB12, the world’s first Super Tourer car, was sold. The funds raised from the auction will support the foundation for AIDS research.
The car that was sold at the auction is the Launch Edition, and it sold for roughly R31 million! This unit is the first example of the Super Tourer to be hand-delivered to a customer anywhere in the world. This particular car features the halo Iridescent Emerald specification. The event was held in Cannes, and Aston Martin was the presenting sponsor of the amfAR Gala, which is dedicated to AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and advocacy.

As part of Aston Martin’s 110th-anniversary celebration, the car is adorned with special touches designed by the Q by Aston Martin bespoke service. These include a special fender badge, headrest embroidery, and a unique plaque on the door sill of the cabin, highlighting its special history. Additionally, the privileged owner of the car will have the rare opportunity for Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso to personally sign the engine cover, which will be preserved by Aston Martin.
