Holidaymakers are being encouraged to ditch their cars and opt for public transport to Dublin Airport, with Expressway offering 13,000 seats ahead of one of the busiest weekends of the year for travellers.
The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) has confirmed that 425,000 passengers will pass through the airport this weekend, with on-site parking already sold out.
As a result, the DAA is a advising passengers to avail of public transport when heading to Dublin Airport to avoid disappointment and delays.
Ireland’s largest commercial inter-regional coach service, Expressway, has reiterated the message, and is encouraged passengers heading to Dublin Airport to avail of their seven Dublin Airport routes over the weekend.
Head of Expressway Andrew Yeats said: ‘The June bank holiday weekend is an opportunity for holidaymakers across Ireland to enjoy some rest and relaxation without having to worry about the stress of airport car-parking.’
Mr Yeats stressed that choosing to attend the airport via coach will ensure ‘passengers can start their holiday early’ on the assurance that they will get to the airport ‘in comfort and on time.’
‘Expressway has over 13,000 seats available across the weekend from Counties Louth, Mayo, Sligo, Wexford and Waterford, with fares a fraction of car-parking costs,’ Mr Yeats said.
Passengers who have booked seats in advance will be guaranteed priority boarding, a seat on their selected service, as well as peace of mind that all they need to do is pack their bags.
