Jetstar has launched an epic flash sale, offering direct flights to the top end for as little as $89, providing the perfect opportunity to experience summer in the Northern Territory and the iconic Red Centre in the spiritual heart of Australia.
Jetstar’s ‘The Territory sale’ sees discounted direct flights being offered to Darwin and Uluru, from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Cairns – all for less than $160.
Headline deals include Sydney and Melbourne to Uluru from $89, Brisbane to Uluru from $99, Brisbane to Darwin from $106, Adelaide to Darwin from $129 and Cairns to Darwin from $151.
The deals apply to select fares and travel periods, ranging mainly between October 2023 to March 2024 – coinciding with the Territory’s summer season which offers fewer crowds, lower prices and unique seasonal landscapes.
During summer, travellers can expect multi-sensory experiences in the NT – from lush national parks teeming with native wildlife, cascading waterfalls and ochre deserts – to kaleidoscopic sunsets, spectacular afternoon storms, awe-inspiring natural wonders and rich Aboriginal culture immersions.
Travellers to Uluru can also embark on the new Red Centre Light Trail, an epic six-day road trip adventure from Uluru to Alice Springs, via Kings Canyon.
The Trail showcases the Red Centre’s newest and most iconic outdoor light and sound spectacles. These include the recently launched Wintjiri Wiru at Voyages Ayers Rock Resort, a cutting-edge sound, drone and light show combining ancient Anangu storytelling, as well as Bruce Munro’s acclaimed Field of Light at Uluru, and new Light-Towers experience at Discovery Resorts – King Canyon.
Other must-do Red Centre experiences include the highly acclaimed native-inspired Sounds of Silence and Tali Wiru dinners under the stars, outback stargazing at Earth Sanctuary observatory, and waterhole hopping along the stunning West MacDonnell Ranges.
While in the Top End, travellers can expect front-row harbour seats to spectacular sunsets and lightning shows, as well as a plethora of family-friendly attractions and unique foodie experiences like the annual Darwin International Laksa Festival.
Beyond Darwin, visitors can hire a 4WD and explore the lush landscapes of Litchfield, Kakadu and Nitmiluk National Parks, book a scenic flight to see the Top End’s show-stopping waterfalls at their tropical summer best, or board a Yellow Water Cruise to see the world-famous wetlands brimming with native wildlife.
