Aussie Cheer and Dance and LA Modelling will feature at this year’s Yeppoon Show in the gym building with captivating performances from local athletes and models.
Owner Julie Tickner promises this event to be exceptional, with a unique blend of fashion, entertainment and talent.
“The LA Modelling fashion parade will be held at our Aussie Cheer and Dance pavilion instead of the Yeppoon Little Theatre hall,” Julie said.
“We will showcase fashion designs from Zest Boutique, Jay Jays, Hippie Garage, and possibly Gypsy Lane.
“Also, we’re opening the event with a Disney-themed celebration in honour of their 100th year. We expected the younger kids would love a bit of Mickey Mouse.
“I believe the community appreciates our fashion parades because they are not just basic modelling.
“They are realistic, fun, and include a bit of cheerleading and tumbling, and can also be enjoyed by everyone.”
Zest Boutique owner Karen Neale said she is proud to be involved and work with Julie.
“I come from the bush, and I love to support the show society,” she said.
“It also allows me to showcase all my new stock. People get to see anything from casual to evening and formal wear.”
Aussie Cheer and Dance athletes will showcase their routine featured at the Varsity Summit competition finals, with Julie saying she is excited about their performance.
“For some of our young ones, Yeppoon Show allows them to perform in public and showcase their skills,” Julie said.
“It’ll be an excellent opportunity for the little ones to gain confidence as they perform in front of an audience.
“At the end of June, there is an upcoming competition, so our juniors can practice their routine in front of a live audience.”
Julie said the Yeppoon Show provides a platform for young talent to showcase their skills in a supportive environment.
“This local tradition has been going on for years, giving kids the opportunity to impress their loved ones with their abilities,” she said.
“It’s a great way for the kids to gain recognition and show off what they can do.
“We would like everyone to come along and support our kids so we can continue to do them in the future.”
